Zoe-perry

Perry was born in Chicago to two actors Laurie Metcalf and Jeff Perry. On the ABC sitcom Roseanne (as shown in flashback) Her mother played Jackie Harris in two of Perry's initial TV roles. Her parents, however, did not want her to perform until she turned older and worried about the consequences of stress. Perry stated that she was too timid to perform at the age of 16, but she began acting at Northwestern University as a way to make friends after transferring to the university from Boston University. Perry had the opportunity to secure small TV roles in Law & Order: Criminal Intent after she graduated. Homesickness, however, led her to California again where she began to work on stage. Her mother and she appeared on Broadway with her in The Other Place, in 2013. The show was directed by Eugene O'Neill. Pulitzer Prize winner Anna Christie, along with Kevin McKidd. This was performed in the West Los Angeles' Odyssey Theatre Ensemble. Perry appeared in nine episodes of the ABC thriller The Family in 2016. In 2017, Perry had the role of a political thriller Scandal with her father. The actress also portrayed her younger Mary Cooper in Young Sheldon - an CBS spin-off of The Big Bang Theory. Despite having a family connection to the character, she was offered the part through an audition.
